A Poem for Two Voices Project - classroom

This type of poetry is usually written in two columns so that one person speaks at a time. The two voices go back and forth so that it becomes a dialogue or conversation between the two voices. If the poet wants the voices to come together as one, the words are either written in the center of the page or on the same line in each of the two ?



Two voice Poems

Two-voice poetry can be used in any subject area, but it?s especially effective when students are studying similarities and differences or harmony and discord. It allows for a dynamic blend of monologue by and dialogue between the two voices. Here are some great examples of two-voice poetry:
